The project

Practical knowledge and tools

Climate change is causing more frequent and severe floods across Europe. Recent disasters in Spain, Italy, and Portugal have shown that many communities are unprepared for these events, putting lives and infrastructure at risk.

This project equips teachers and students with practical knowledge and tools to understand and respond to climate challenges. By integrating climate resilience and flood preparedness into school curricula—and through the FLOODSCAPE Escape Room—learning becomes hands-on, engaging, and impactful. Inspired by the successful FLOOD STOPPING Erasmus+ project, innovative resources such as digital mapping tools and AR board games will further enhance teachers’ capacity to educate and prepare communities for real-life climate and disaster scenarios.

Project objectives

The project aims to equip students and teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively to flood scenarios and climate-related disasters. By integrating climate resilience and flood prevention into school curricula, it provides practical, hands-on learning experiences that prepare communities for real-world challenges.

01

Developing Key Competences
Strengthen students’ knowledge and skills in flood prevention and climate resilience, embedding these topics into school curricula to meet local community needs.

02

Creating the FLOODSCAPE Methodology
Provide teachers and students with innovative tools and strategies to address flood risks, fostering active engagement and agency within schools and communities.

03

Enhancing Participation and Civic Engagement
Use immersive and creative learning through the FLOODSCAPE Escape Room to inspire collaboration, problem-solving, and active involvement in climate action.

04

Building a Network of Innovative Leaders
