Pedagogical Plan

An interdisciplinary framework designed to integrate flood prevention and climate resilience into school curricula. Developed through online workshops with teachers and experts from all partner countries, the plan incorporates the GreenComp competence framework and promotes co-teaching across subjects such as biology, mathematics, technology, history, English, and geography. It provides schools with a clear, adaptable strategy to teach climate preparedness in a collaborative and engaging way.

Climate Change and Floods Handbook

A comprehensive educational resource for teachers, combining scientific knowledge with practical guidance. The handbook includes modules on climate adaptation, European strategies for disaster preparedness, and recommended school-based emergency behaviors. It equips educators with the tools to integrate flood prevention and climate resilience into their lessons effectively.

Teacher Training

Program

A three-day in-person training in Spain focused on strengthening teachers’ understanding of the pedagogical framework and handbook content developed within the project. As key outputs of the activity, the event generated practical training materials, co-teaching guidelines, and implementation documents to support the use of interactive methodologies such as the escape room in climate education.

The results of the training are presented in this section, including the official agenda of the event and the main project documents produced, which will serve as a reference for future implementation in partner schools.

FLOODSCAPE Escape Rooms Guidelines

Here you will find the guidelines for the escape room activities developed within the project. These materials explain how the game is structured, its rules, and how it should be implemented in an educational setting.

The escape room is a scenario-based learning experience that simulates real flood situations. Students take part in a series of interactive challenges that require teamwork, communication, and problem-solving to progress through different stages.

The activity combines visual materials, projections, and practical tasks to create an immersive and engaging learning environment focused on flood preparedness and emergency response
